ZOOVIT

The Cicer arietinum L. variety Zoovit is a medium-maturing legume variety distinguished by its high quality characteristics and drought resistance. The growing season for this variety ranges from 79 to 102 days, allowing for successful cultivation under various climatic conditions, including the Saratov region. The plant reaches a height of 36 to 58 cm, featuring a semi-upright bush and white flowers. Zoovit seeds are large, uniform, with a beige color and a shape ranging from round to angular, with moderate ribbing, providing excellent taste qualities.

The variety is characterized by high yields, reaching 16.8 c/ha in the Saratov region conditions, which is 4 c/ha higher than the standard Krasnokutsky 36. The maximum recorded yield was 29.4 c/ha. Seeds contain approximately 24% protein, making Zoovit chickpeas valuable in terms of nutritional properties. Over the years of testing, the variety has demonstrated disease resistance, increasing its reliability and attractiveness for agricultural production.
