Description Triumph
Nut variety Triumph is a medium-maturing, high-yielding variety registered in the Ukrainian Plant Varieties Register in 2005. The vegetation period ranges from 70 to 98 days, depending on growing conditions, with flowering beginning on day 30-35 after emergence. The plant has an upright or semi-determinate bush, 33 to 62 cm tall, with the first pod located at a height of 20-22 cm. Stems and leaves are light green without waxy coating or anthocyanin pigmentation, with sharp, serrated edges. Seeds are beige in color, shape varies from round to angular with moderate ridges, 1000-seed mass ranges from 290 to 422 grams. Variety Triumph exhibits high drought resistance and good resistance to major diseases such as ascochytosis and fusarium; no disease symptoms were observed during testing years. It also demonstrates good resistance to stickiness and seed shattering. Protein content in seeds reaches 28-30%, making Triumph nut a valuable protein source. Yield varies by region, averaging 1.46 tons per hectare, with maximum yields reaching 4.08 tons per hectare. Biological traits and breeding achievements incorporated into variety Triumph make it promising for cultivation under moderate climates with drought periods. Due to its characteristics, Triumph nut is suitable for use in food industry and agriculture, ensuring stable and high-quality harvests.
