Description ELBRUS 10
ELBRUS 10 — a variety of field millet developed by the Kabardino-Balkar Research Institute of Agriculture. This medium-maturing variety is intended for cultivation in various regions, including the North Caucasus, and is characterized by a medium maturity period with a vegetation period of about 70-100 days. Plants reach a height of 70 to 105 cm, which ensures good resistance to lodging and shattering, comparable to standard varieties.

The grain of the ELBRUS 10 variety is oval, with dark cream or dark yellow coloration, and the panicle is compact and moderately drooping. The absence of anthocyanin coloration of the glume is one of the distinctive features of this variety. Despite high resistance to diseases, the variety shows strong susceptibility to smut, so successful cultivation requires mandatory seed treatment before sowing.

The ELBRUS 10 variety shows stable yields in various regions: in the North Caucasus region, it is about 21.4 centners/hectare, in the Central Volga region — up to 33.7 centners/hectare, and in the Ural region — about 14.8 centners/hectare. Due to its characteristics and adaptability, this variety is a reliable choice for agricultural producers seeking to obtain a quality and stable millet harvest.
