Description DOBROE
Pearl millet of the DOBROE variety is a mid-season spring crop with round red grain, weighing 6.5-9.0 g per 1000 grains. This variety is distinguished by high resistance to lodging and shattering, which ensures crop preservation. Pearl millet has high technological and culinary qualities, making it in demand both for food use and processing. The average yield of the variety reaches 25.6 c/ha, with maximum indicators up to 45.2 c/ha. However, the crop requires pre-sowing treatment due to high susceptibility to head smut.

Pearl millet DOBROE is well adapted to hot and arid conditions thanks to its branched root system, which penetrates the soil to a depth of one meter, with the main mass of roots located in the top soil layer up to 40 cm. This allows the plant to efficiently use moisture and nutrients even in complex climatic conditions. Thanks to its heat and drought resistance, pearl millet is an excellent crop for growing in regions with variable climates and can be successfully used as a cover crop to increase soil fertility.

In addition, the green mass of millet, incorporated into the soil, serves as an effective organic fertilizer, contributing to improved soil structure and fertility, which allows reducing the use of mineral fertilizers. The DOBROE variety is suitable for growing as a green fertilizer in the second half of summer, which makes it a universal and economically advantageous choice for agricultural enterprises.
