KALAMITA

The KALAMITA melon variety is an early-maturing trailing variety with round, yellow fruits adorned with rare dots and a medium-thickness netted structure. The fruit mass typically ranges from 1.6 to 1.8 kg, with a maximum of 2 kg. The flesh is yellowish-white, medium thickness, tender and melting, with a good taste and medium juiciness. The seed cavity is small, with white seeds of medium length and width. This variety is intended for local consumption, although the fruits retain their market quality for no more than three days after harvest.

KALAMITA is characterized by high yield, reaching 1.6-2.2 kg of marketable fruits per square meter. The variety is resistant to diseases such as downy mildew and anthracnose, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in southern regions of Russia. Thanks to its characteristics, it has been included in the state register for cultivation in personal subsidiary farms.
