The GREEN onion is a super-early variety of green onion, being a cross between bulb onion and bunching onion. Thanks to this combination, it allows obtaining green leaves significantly earlier than traditional bunching onion. The plant is characterized by intensive growth, a powerful root system, and an upright habit. The foliage is abundant, with powerful tops, colored dark blue-green, while the stalk has a medium length of about 5–8 cm. The ripening period is approximately 40 days, which makes this variety particularly attractive for early harvest.
The GREEN variety is distinguished by high adaptability and can be grown year-round in various climatic conditions, including protected ground in winter. It shows excellent tolerance to heat, as well as increased resistance to extreme temperatures, which expands its cultivation possibilities. In addition, the onion is resistant to diseases such as fusarium and pink root rots, which contributes to a stable and quality harvest.
This variety is recommended for obtaining super-early green leaf produce from early spring to late autumn.
