DescriptionUzen
UZEN is a variety of alfalfa included in the State Register since 2007 and recommended for cultivation in the Middle Volga and Lower Volga regions of Russia. This variety belongs to mid-early, which allows you to harvest at optimal times. The plant is characterized by a semi-erect bush of medium height with green leaves, the central leaf of which has average sizes. The flowering time of the variety is medium, which promotes even development and ripening.
The UZEN variety is distinguished by high productivity both for seeds and fodder mass. It can produce up to 131 centners of dry matter per hectare, with a maximum yield in experimental crops reaching 8.8 centners per hectare. Thanks to abundant bushiness and rapid regrowth in the spring and after mowings, this variety provides stable and quality feed for farm animals.
In addition, UZEN has high winter hardiness and drought resistance, which makes it a reliable choice for regions with variable climatic conditions. The variety is resistant to standard alfalfa diseases such as dwarfism or "witch's broom," reducing the risk of crop losses and increasing cultivation efficiency.
