Taysa is a medium-sized shrub, up to 1.5 meters tall, with straight branches and smooth, dark brown bark. The leaves are small, dense, and deep green, while the berries are small (about 1.2 g) with a tart-sweet flavor, often described as "freckled berry" due to their slightly mottled surface. Bushes are decorative from spring to late autumn and add a vibrant color accent to the garden.
Taysa is characterized by high yield: young plants produce 8 to 12 kg of berries, while mature ones can yield up to 30 kg depending on the variety. The fruits are rich in vitamins and micro-/macronutrients, have a tonic and strengthening effect, improve blood circulation, and are used for gastrointestinal disorders.
The culture is resistant to frosts, has low susceptibility to pests and diseases, and is undemanding regarding soil types. It does not require special pruning and does not form suckers, making it easy to care for even for beginner gardeners. Thorns are present only on old shoots of the lower part of the plant, which facilitates winter pressing and care for the bush.
