BOBRICK

BOBRICK is a perennial spreading semi-shrub with a height of 35–40 cm, featuring straight stems and small glossy leaves of linear-lanceolate shape. The plant is distinguished by a sharp spicy aroma, a slightly pungent pepper-like taste, and a beautiful spike inflorescence of white flowers that transition to a light lilac hue. Blooming lasts from June to October, while root suckers provide winter hardiness.

The variety is widely used as a spice: dried leaves and young shoots are added to legume dishes, meat and fish salads, soups, stews, pickled vegetables, cheese products, and cookies. Due to its strong bitter-spicy taste, lovage is best added 1–2 minutes before the end of cooking to preserve the aroma.

BOBRICK is also valued as a good nectar plant and can serve as a decorative element in landscape design due to its cold resistance. It is grown from seedlings, sowing seeds in the first half of April, which ensures rapid growth of young shoots and leaves for use in both fresh and dried forms.
