Lettuce Rosela

Early-maturing Lollo Rossa for market efficiency

The «Rosela» lettuce variety, developed by the Ukrainian producer «Tyras», is a strategic choice for growers focused on rapid crop turnover and superior retail appearance. As a Lollo Rossa type, it features a vibrant dark red color and a voluminous, curly texture, which ensures it stands out in supermarket displays and holds up well during packaging.

Cultivation and Practical Application

• Planting Density: The recommended planting density is 90,000–100,000 plants per hectare. This density is optimal for developing a medium-sized, uniform rosette, which is highly preferred for individual packaging or live-root sales.
• Early Harvesting: Thanks to its early maturation, Rosela is a key component for continuous production cycles. It is widely used by farms to capture early market demand during the spring season.
• Agronomic Performance: Bred by the Tyras company, this variety is well-adapted to the climatic conditions of Ukraine, offering consistent results and reducing risks associated with seasonal temperature fluctuations.

Choosing «Rosela» is a practical business decision for those aiming for a high-quality, predictable yield. Its consistent rosette size simplifies logistical planning and pricing, making it an excellent product for both large-scale agricultural enterprises and medium-sized farms looking for reliable, locally developed planting material.
