Lettuce Meref'yan'skyi

Operational insights: 'Merefianskyi' leaf lettuce

For an agronomist seeking predictable results, the 'Merefianskyi' lettuce variety, developed by Iob Naan, represents a reliable solution for streamlined production. As a purely leafy variety, it avoids the complexities associated with head lettuce, such as rot risks during humidity spikes or challenges in crop development during temperature fluctuations.

Technical specifications and performance

• Variety type: Leafy lettuce, bred specifically for Ukrainian conditions.
• Originator: Iob Naan, ensuring high genetic consistency.
• Ease of maintenance: Resilient against common open-field stressors, requiring minimal intervention.

During the cultivation process, 'Merefianskyi' stands out for its straightforward management. Seed consumption is standard for leafy varieties, while high germination energy minimizes gaps in the rows, ensuring uniform bed coverage. From a labor management perspective, this variety is highly efficient; the leaves form a volume-rich rosette that is easy to harvest manually or mechanically without damaging the surrounding plants.

Operating a site with 'Merefianskyi' does not demand specialized machinery. It is equally suitable for small-scale manual farming and larger commercial operations. Its low-maintenance profile reduces the need for frequent chemical treatments and excessive monitoring, effectively lowering the overall cost of production. The structural integrity of the leaves upon harvest simplifies logistics, ensuring the product reaches the consumer in optimal condition.
