Merlot

Merlot salad is a medium-early leaf lettuce variety of the Lollo Rossa type, intended for cultivation in open ground during early spring, summer, and autumn periods. The vegetation period is 60 to 70 days, allowing for harvest within relatively short timeframes. The variety is resistant to bolting, ensuring stable leaf formation and extending the harvest period.

The leaves of Merlot lettuce have a decorative appearance: they are curly, blistered, with a delicate ruffled texture and slight gloss. The main leaf color is green with characteristic reddish or pink tips, giving the lettuce an attractive and unique look. Due to its decorative qualities, Merlot lettuce is suitable not only for consumption but also for garnishing dishes.

The flavor profile of Merlot lettuce is delicate and free of bitterness, making it a versatile ingredient for various salads and fresh appetizers. The variety is suitable for year-round cultivation, expanding its usability across different climatic conditions.
