Lettuce Lollo Premium

Consistent Yields Without Surprises

When growing the "Lollo Premium" lettuce variety from Ooo Agroni, the focus is squarely on predictability. For any agronomist, it is crucial that the crop does not succumb to diseases mid-cycle, and this variety proves itself quite capable in that regard. Thanks to its genetically ingrained resistance to downy mildew (peronospora) and lettuce aphid, the number of pesticide applications can be safely reduced. This directly impacts production costs and leaf cleanliness, which is highly valued when supplying retail chains.

Agronomic Features and Protection

The "Lollo Biondo" type involves the formation of a dense yet loose rosette that handles transport well without losing its marketability. Experience with "Lollo Premium" shows high resistance to internal tipburn—a common issue in hybrids during temperature fluctuations. Additionally, the variety exhibits immunity to powdery mildew, making it suitable for intensive cultivation schemes.
