Description
Fiorette is a medium-maturing variety of head lettuce of the Iceberg type, distinguished by its crisp texture and appetizing light-green leaf color. The plant forms compact, round heads of medium size with dense filling and short inner core, weighing up to 400-500 grams. The lettuce leaves are juicy and tender, with excellent flavor, making this variety ideal for fresh salad use.
The Fiorette variety is characterized by high resistance to major diseases, including downy mildew (Bremia lactucae) of various races, internal necrosis, and lettuce aphid. It has high adaptability, ensuring a long harvest period and resistance to head splitting and cracking. Thanks to its prolonged harvest period and high productivity during harvesting and packing, Fiorette guarantees a stable and high-quality yield even under the most hot conditions.
For successful cultivation, seeds should be sown at a depth of 1-1.5 cm, followed by regular and regulated watering, avoiding water stagnation and soil drying. Plant care includes loosening, weeding, and thinning seedlings as needed. Fiorette is suitable for cultivation in open ground from early April to September, as well as year-round in protected ground. The variety is distinguished by high-quality commercial product, long storage life, and excellent transportability, making it a profitable choice for commercial cultivation.
