Lettuce Etti

Stable Yields with Iceberg: The 'Etti' Growing Experience

When selecting Iceberg lettuce seeds, a farmer’s priorities are clear: predictable vegetation and disease resistance. The 'Etti' variety from the Ukrainian producer 'PMP Tiras' meets these demands, showing excellent adaptation to local climatic conditions.

Field Performance

The first thing you notice when working with 'Etti' is the formation of dense, heavy heads with a deep, dark green color. For an agronomist, this translates to fewer losses during sorting and an attractive presentation for retail. The medium maturity timeline allows for efficient harvest scheduling without the risk of unpredictable growth spurts.

Phytosanitary Control

One of the main challenges in lettuce cultivation is vulnerability to fungal diseases. With 'Etti', the breeders at 'Tiras' focused on the crop’s protective potential:

• Downy Mildew (Peronospora): The variety shows high resistance, which is critical during periods of high humidity.
• Powdery Mildew: Genetic resistance helps reduce the frequency of fungicide applications, lowering production costs and improving environmental sustainability.

By working with this variety, you achieve predictable results with moderate crop protection expenses. It is a solid, reliable performer that is forgiving of minor agricultural management oversights, ensuring a consistent volume of high-quality produce.
