Kreuznettle (cress) variety Ajour is a mid-early variety with a vegetative period from germination to market maturity of 20-30 days. The plant's rosette is elevated, reaching a height of 18-25 cm and a diameter of 20-30 cm, with light green leaves. Edible parts are the base leaves and young shoots, which have a pleasant sharp mustard taste, making this salad an excellent garnish for meat and fish dishes.
Kreuznettle Ajour can be grown under various conditions: in open ground, in heated greenhouses, as well as at home. For sowing, seeds should be sown sparingly to reduce the time needed for thinning. Sowing is done in furrows 1.0-1.5 cm deep at a rate of 3-4 g per 10 m². It is important to avoid prolonged night wetting of plants, as this increases the risk of diseases.
This variety is characterized by its unpretentiousness and rapid growth, which allows obtaining fresh leaves and shoots already 3-4 weeks after sowing. Thanks to its taste qualities and versatility, Kreuznettle Ajour will become a useful and aromatic addition to your diet.
