The cannabis variety YSO o/d 14 was studied as part of scientific research conducted between 2018 and 2020 at Podilsky State University in the Western Forest-Steppe region of Ukraine. The main goal of the research was to determine the effectiveness of seeding rates and the significance of the variety in relation to its effect on the technical stem length of hemp. Results showed that both seeding rate and variety significantly influence this parameter.
During experiments, various technical stem length indicators were recorded, ranging on average from 160 cm to 182 cm depending on sowing conditions and variety characteristics. This indicates the possibility of regulating plant growth and optimizing agronomic practices to achieve desired raw material characteristics.
Thus, the variety YSO o/d 14 represents a promising material for cultivation in the Western Forest-Steppe region of Ukraine, enabling the production of stems with optimal length for technical use. These findings can serve as a basis for further improvement of hemp cultivation technologies and increased productivity.
