Ricinus communis «Kaima 75» – a variety intended for castor oil production. It is a medium-height plant with a red stem covered in a waxy bloom and a medium-length trunk. The medium-sized pod has a bluish color and does not crack, which facilitates seed transport and storage.
The plant has a wide-conical inflorescence, a dense and productive part, and medium-sized, dark-brown seeds weighing 390 g per 1000 pieces. Oil content in the seeds reaches 48 %, making them valuable for industrial castor oil production. The yield is 21.3 c/ha.
The variety is characterized by a high drought tolerance level – 5.0 points, as well as low infection by powdery mildew compared to the standard. It is suitable for mechanized cultivation, harvesting, and subsequent processing, making it a convenient choice for production technologies.
