Podolyanka

Podolyanka is an early-maturing potato variety recommended for cultivation in the Polissya and Forest-Steppe zones. This variety is characterized by high yield potential, reaching up to 30 tons per hectare, making it attractive for agricultural producers. The tubers are oval-shaped and yellow, with light-yellow flesh containing about 15% starch, which ensures good taste and versatility in culinary applications.

Podolyanka exhibits high marketability — approximately 91% — and excellent storage capability, reaching 90%. This allows the tubers to retain quality and freshness for an extended period after harvest. The variety shows good resistance to potato cyst nematode and common scab, medium resistance to late blight, and high resistance to viral diseases, thereby reducing the risk of crop losses and the need for frequent chemical protection.
