Description RUSSIANA
Potato variety RUSSIANA belongs to the mid-early maturing group with a maturity period of 65-80 days. Plants are of medium height, intermediate type, bushy, with small green leaves and a small white flower. Tubers are oval-round in shape with very small eyes, yellow skin, and light-yellow flesh. Marketable tuber mass ranges from 55 to 118 grams, with 8-13 tubers per plant. Starch content in tubers is 13.9-16.5%, which is 1.7-3.6% higher than standard values, ensuring high culinary qualities.

The variety is distinguished by high market yield, ranging from 146 to 237 centners per hectare, with a maximum of 276 centners. RUSSIANA is resistant to mechanical damage, facilitating harvest and transportation. Tubers have a storage capacity of 93%, allowing them to retain quality over extended periods. The potato is suitable for various preparation methods: it is excellent for producing crispy potato chips, mashed potatoes, frying, and baking, thanks to its culinary type CD and good flavor.

The variety shows resistance to several diseases, including potato late blight and golden potato cyst nematode, enhancing its reliability for cultivation. However, it is susceptible to phytophthora on foliage, and shows moderate resistance to the disease on tubers. Recommended for cultivation in the Central region, where it demonstrates optimal yield and resistance. RUSSIANA is a reliable choice for farmers seeking high-quality, high-yield potatoes with excellent consumer properties.
