Description Dubravka
The Dubravka potato variety is a medium-early table variety with a vegetation period of 80 to 95 days. The plant is of medium height, intermediate type, with semi-erect stems and green leaves with slightly wavy edges. Flowers are pale reddish-purple, medium-sized. Tubers are round, large, with small eyes, yellow skin of medium smoothness or slightly netted, cream-colored flesh. The mass of marketable tubers ranges from 91 to 196 grams, with 6 to 12 tubers per plant. Starch content varies between 10.9–17.2%, making the variety versatile for various culinary purposes. The Dubravka variety is characterized by high yield, reaching 172–325 centners per hectare, with tuber marketability of 95–98%. It is resistant to several diseases, including potato cancer, golden potato cyst nematode, leaf curl virus, wrinkled and striped mosaic. Moderate resistance is noted against leaf and tuber late blight, scab, and rhizoctonia. Due to its high storability — about 97% — and dormancy period of 73 days, tubers retain quality for a long time. Dubravka is recommended for cultivation on light to medium textured soils, especially in moderate climate regions such as the Northwest of Russia. It is an intensive type, effectively utilizing natural soil fertility and positively responding to increased doses of mineral fertilizers. However, excessive soil moisture should be avoided during bud formation and flowering, and seedlings should not be broken before planting. Culinary type CD and ВС allows using tubers for boiling, frying, baking, as well as for preparing frozen vegetable mixes and potato pancakes.
