Ister Time – a dwarf iris, the height of which does not exceed 40 cm, and most plants grow to 20 cm. It differs in a rich color range and abundant flowering: each shoot can give several buds, and many shoots grow on one bush, which makes the flowerbed bright and colorful. The dwarf nature of the plant ensures ease of care – it is unpretentious, quickly settles down after transplanting and withstands any planting conditions.
The variety differs in early bud formation: flowering begins 2–3 weeks earlier than tall analogues, which allows to create a beautiful flowerbed in a shorter time. Leaves retain attractiveness throughout the season and give the plant an impressive foliage. Ister Time loves sunny places and space; under such conditions flowers become especially bright. The plant is suitable for planting in alpine gardens and rockeries, as well as in flowerbeds and stone beds.
Care for dwarf irises is simple: after planting the root neck is placed above the soil level, the first five days are watered abundantly (especially in heat), then the soil is carefully loosened, trying not to damage the rhizomes. Further watering is moderate – only during drought. The plant withstands transplanting well and quickly adapts to new conditions. Thanks to its low growth and compactness, Ister Time is ideal for border flowerbeds, alpine gardens and small garden compositions.
