Hyssop Ametist

Spicy classic from Agro-firma AS

Hyssop 'Amethyst' is a selection product from the Ukrainian company 'Agro-firma AS', designed for those who appreciate the balance between aesthetics and functionality of herbs. Unlike wild forms, this variety demonstrates high plant uniformity, which is critical for farms focused on the commercial production of essential oil raw materials.

Key features and application

The main characteristic of 'Amethyst' is a stable essential oil content of 1.0%. For hyssop, this is a solid figure that guarantees a recognizable, deep camphor-spicy aroma.

• Strengths: High adaptability to Ukrainian climatic conditions, resistance to drought, and an excellent nectar base that attracts pollinators.
• Weaknesses: Like most hyssop varieties, 'Amethyst' is sensitive to waterlogging in the root zone and requires well-drained, sunny plots.

This variety is optimal for organic farm owners and small producers specializing in culinary, cosmetic, or herbal tea raw materials. 'Amethyst' integrates easily into crop rotation as a perennial capable of producing for up to 4–5 years in one location.

The herb seed market is often flooded with hybrids of unpredictable genetics. 'Agro-firma AS' offers a localized variety tested under local soil and climate conditions. By choosing 'Amethyst', you receive predictable yields and essential oil quality, directly backed by the originator.
