Description Kam'yanchanka
Kam'yanchanka — this is a buckwheat variety recommended for sowing in the forest-steppe zone. The vegetation period of this variety is 99-100 days, which allows obtaining a stable yield under moderate climatic conditions. The grain of Kam'yanchanka has a mass of 28-31 g per 1000 seeds, and the milling yield reaches 73%, making this variety attractive for food use. The yield of the variety varies within the range of 13.5-21.2 c/ha, indicating its high productivity.

The variety is characterized by high resistance to lodging and shattering (7-8 points), drought (6-8 points), and also has strong immunity to diseases such as powdery mildew, bacterial spot, downy mildew, and buckwheat rust, rated at 9 points. These characteristics ensure reliable cultivation of Kam'yanchanka even under adverse weather conditions and reduce the risk of yield loss.

The Kam'yanchanka variety was developed and introduced into production by the Scientific Research Institute of Grain Crops named after O. Alexeeva in Kamyanets-Podilsky. The institute specializes in buckwheat breeding and research, supporting agricultural enterprises with high-quality planting material. In 2023, seed production of Kam'yanchanka is planned to ensure supply to manufacturers, contributing to the development of Ukrainian agriculture and increasing the efficiency of buckwheat cultivation.
