Children's Treat is an early-maturing variety of sugar snap peas, distinguished by its high yield and ease of cultivation. From germination to marketable maturity takes about 50 days, allowing for a fresh harvest in a short time. The plant is not tall, and the pods are long and of medium width, making them easy to harvest and use in cooking.
A distinctive feature of the variety is that not only the seeds-peas but the entire pod is edible. The pod shells lack a hard parchment layer; they are juicy, fleshy, and have a sweet, gourmet taste. Immature pods are especially delicious fresh and are also well-suited for stewing and frying in a pan, acquiring an exquisite taste reminiscent of asparagus.
Peas are recommended to be sown at the end of April - beginning of May at a depth of 4-6 cm with row spacing of 30x15 cm. To prevent the stems from lodging after germination, it is advisable to set up supports 1-1.2 meters high. The crop is harvested as it matures, which allows peas to be used for various culinary purposes. Seeds do not contain GMOs or other additives, which guarantees the ecological purity of the product.
