Freesia 'Tatyana' is a perennial plant from the iris family that brings a bright spring atmosphere to the interior thanks to its large and fragrant inflorescences. Each one-sided inflorescence can contain up to 10–12 flowers with a diameter of up to 6 cm, and their color – white, yellow, purple, or raspberry – creates a picturesque contrast with the thin, linear leaf. The plant's height is usually 20–30 cm, which makes it ideal for both open ground and containers, borders, and indoor conditions.
To successfully grow 'Tatyana', sufficient lighting and regular watering are required – especially at the edge of the pot. Feeding is recommended twice a month, and after flowering – repot the plant and propagate by bulbs, seeds, or buds. With proper care, freesia retains its decorativeness even in bouquets: its flowers do not wilt for a week.
However, the plant is subject to certain pests and diseases: spider mites, aphids, thrips, and bulb rot can negatively affect the health of the plant. Therefore, it is important to carefully monitor the condition of the leaves and root system, promptly eliminate signs of infection, and ensure good ventilation around the pot.
