Phlox drummondii is an annual herbaceous plant with bright zigzag-shaped flowers that can vary from snow-white to dark purple shades. The plant prefers light and warm places, as well as fertile, loose soil where it quickly roots and begins to bloom from June until the first frosts.
This phlox is perfect for decorating flower beds, rabatok, balcony boxes, and garden vases. When planting in pots, it is recommended to leave a distance of 20–30 cm between plants to provide sufficient space for the development of the root system and avoid over-saturation of flowering areas.
Phlox drummondii is easily reproduced by seeds; with proper sowing (in spring or autumn), plants can bloom in the first year. For more stable growth, it is recommended to stratify the seeds for two months before planting, especially if spring sowing is planned. The plant reaches a height of 40–50 cm and can be used both for visual effect and for harvesting fresh flowers.
