Domari

The endive variety «Domari» is an early leaf chicory salad developed by the Dutch company Enza Zaden. It features high adaptability to various climatic conditions and can be grown in any zone due to its ability to withstand frost down to -6 °C and survive until the first snow. Under moderate summer temperatures (+20–22 °C), the plant shows its best growth indicators.

«Domari» forms a large rosette about 30 cm high, weighing 300–400 g. The leaves are curly, medium-sized, serrated, with a light green outer side and a yellow-green tint towards the center. Finely dissected leaflets give the product a pleasant texture and make it ideal for cutting into salad mixes.

The salad is consumed raw; to soften the slight bitterness, it is recommended to briefly soak the leaves in salted water. Due to its high yield and excellent quality rosettes, «Domari» is popular among both farmers and professional kitchens that value its freshness and aroma.
