Endive Zidan

Growing Practice: Why choose "Zidan"

Working with endive cultivation, you quickly realize that success depends 80% on the stability of the planting material. The "Zidan" hybrid from Enza Limited is a case where predictability becomes an agronomist's main asset. In open-field conditions, this variety shows excellent adaptation and survival rates without requiring special conditions beyond standard crop management.

Vegetation Features and Commercial Appeal

The main functional characteristic of "Zidan" is its wavy leaf with a distinctive yellow-green color. In field conditions, this simplifies the identification of technical maturity. The leaf rosette is formed tightly, which is critical for protecting the inner core from overheating and direct sunlight. The mild flavor, lacking the harsh bitterness common in many wild endive types, makes it a highly liquid commodity for retail and HoReCa segments.

Agronomic Notes

• Open Field: The variety is resistant to temperature fluctuations, reducing the need for additional protective covers or tunnels.
• Application: Ideal for salad mixes. The leaf maintains its structure well when sliced and does not wilt when dressings are added.
• Maintenance: Standard irrigation and fertilization procedures are sufficient, with no need for exotic growth stimulants.

If you are looking for a crop that minimizes headaches during harvesting and logistics, "Zidan" from Enza Limited is a rational choice for expanding your farm's product line.
