Auretus Eggplant F1 is a mid-early white-fruited hybrid developed by the Dutch breeding company Rijk Zwaan. This variety is characterized by high adaptability and can be successfully grown both in open ground and in protected ground. The maturity period ranges from 65 to 80 days from seedling planting, allowing for a harvest in relatively short timeframes. The plant reaches a height of up to 90 cm, possesses a strong root system and short internodes, which contribute to high yield — up to 9 to 11 fruits form on one bush even under unfavorable conditions. With active fruit load, stem support is recommended to maintain the plant.

Auretus eggplant fruits have an oval-cylindrical shape with a slight curve, up to 18 cm in length and 5-7 cm in diameter. The weight of one fruit ranges from 300 to 400 grams, and with optimal watering, can exceed 400 grams. The fruit coloration is snowy white, smooth, and glossy, without signs of green tinge. The flesh is light, moderately firm, tender, and possesses a pleasant taste. Due to its qualities, the fruits maintain market appearance and taste characteristics for a long time both in field conditions and during transportation.

Auretus eggplant F1 is characterized by high resistance to adverse weather conditions and diseases, which ensures a stable yield and good marketability of the product. This hybrid is suitable for cultivation in film tunnels, open ground, and closed greenhouse conditions. Due to its taste qualities and appearance, the fruits are widely used in cooking and are suitable for canning, making the variety in demand among both large agricultural companies and private gardeners.
