Dahlia ROUZ PREFERENCE

Agrotechnical features of the 'Rose Preference' decorative dahlia

A breeding product of the Agropromyshlennoye Obshchestvo 'Taytsy', the 'Rose Preference' variety is the result of focused work on the stability of decorative dahlia morphological traits. With a plant height ranging from 70 to 100 cm, this medium-height variety occupies a specific niche in both professional floriculture and landscape design.

Inflorescence architecture and cut flower parameters

The key technical advantage of 'Rose Preference' is its decorative flower shape. The tight arrangement of the ray florets ensures high transportability and resistance to mechanical stress during transit, which is critical for the commercial cut flower market. The stem system possesses sufficient rigidity to support medium-sized inflorescences without the need for additional support structures, provided optimal planting density is maintained.

Agronomic application

• Landscape zoning: Due to its medium height (up to 100 cm), the variety is ideal for the middle tier of flower bed compositions. Uniform bush development allows for the creation of dense arrays without gaps.
• Cut flower segment: Utilizing this variety as a commercial crop requires rigorous nutritional management. The high density of the petals necessitates adequate potassium levels to ensure intense pigmentation and flower stalk turgor.

The Agropromyshlennoye Obshchestvo 'Taytsy' has endowed this variety with significant adaptability to temperate climatic conditions, helping to mitigate common risks associated with outdoor decorative dahlia cultivation. The plant responds well to timely pinching, which stimulates lateral branching and increases the total number of flower stalks per plant.
