Dahlia Philofea (fringed) – a tuberous plant reaching about 90 cm in height, which catches the eye with bright pink flowers up to 20 cm in diameter featuring a cream center. These large and saturated buds create an eye-catching garden ornament and look wonderful in floral arrangements.
One of the main advantages of Philofea is its ease of cultivation and long blooming period. The plant adapts easily to various conditions, so it can be used for group plantings as well as an accent on a separate bed. Thanks to its resistance to adverse factors, the dahlia keeps its flowers beautiful for a long time.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to plant tubers on sunny areas with good air circulation, protected from cold winds. Any fertile soils that are well-drained and have a neutral acidity are suitable; do not place the plant in depressions, near the groundwater level, or in shaded areas. When planting, the root collar should be 2–3 cm below soil level, and the distance between plants should be 60–70 cm. During dry weather and the growing season, abundant watering is required.
