Currant Dydorivska

Stability and Health: Choosing the Dydorivska Variety

The Dydorivska blackcurrant, a selection product of NUBiP of Ukraine, has established itself as a reliable variety for those seeking a balance between high yields and minimal chemical protection costs. Unlike many introduced varieties, this one demonstrates impressive adaptability to the climatic conditions of Ukraine, ensuring stable fruiting even during spring temperature fluctuations.

Key Advantages

• Natural Immunity: The variety possesses genetic resistance to anthracnose and powdery mildew. This is a critical characteristic for farmers aiming for environmentally friendly production, as it reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications.
• Harvesting Efficiency: The berries feature firm skin, which allows them to retain their market appeal during mechanical harvesting and long-distance transportation.
• Economic Efficiency: Consistent annual yields make Dydorivska an optimal choice for commercial orchards. The variety does not require specific, complex agricultural techniques, adapting well to standard fertilization and maintenance protocols.

Who is this variety for?

Dydorivska is an ideal solution for farms focused on fresh market sales, as well as for processing plants requiring high-quality raw materials with a high dry matter content. Although the variety requires standard care (pruning, fertilization), it is forgiving of minor agronomic errors, making it suitable even for hobbyist gardeners who want professional-grade results in their own backyard.
