Justina F1 — an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid cucumber of cornichon type, intended for cultivation in open ground. The maturation period is 38–45 days, allowing for a rapid harvest. The plant is open-type with a small leaf blade, facilitating easy and complete fruit harvesting. On one plant, 12–14 green fruits of uniform size, up to 9–10 cm long, form simultaneously, ensuring high harvest uniformity.
The fruits have a dark green color and large bumps, characteristic of cornichons. They possess excellent pickling qualities: after canning, they retain firmness and remain crisp. The hybrid is highly productive — yields of 275 to 602 centners per hectare — making it profitable for commercial cultivation. Justina F1 is resistant to major cucumber diseases such as powdery mildew, downy mildew, and cladosporiosis, reducing the need for frequent protective treatments.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to follow agronomic practices: regular watering, fertilization, soil loosening, weeding, and protection against pests and pathogens. The plant is well-suited for mechanized harvesting, enhancing efficiency. Justina F1 is ideal for pickling and preservation, widely used in culinary applications for making crisp pickles.
