Description PIONEER
Pioneer is a hybrid cucumber variety of cornichon type, intended for cultivation in open ground during the spring-summer period. Plants are vigorous with main stems up to 3 meters long, have female flowering and are pollinated by bees. The vegetation period is approximately 45-53 days, allowing for an early medium harvest. The variety is characterized by high yield and prolonged fruiting until late autumn.

The fruits of the Pioneer cucumber are cylindrical, medium in length — from 7.5 to 11 cm, with a weight of about 90-100 grams. The cucumbers have a thin skin, smooth surface with white stripes up to the middle of the fruit, as well as large bumps with black spines. A key feature of the variety is limited fruit growth, which prevents overgrowth during sparse harvests and ensures high product quality, especially for canning.

Due to its excellent taste and aroma, Pioneer cucumbers are widely used both fresh and for classic pickling and canning in small jars. The variety is ideal for preparing cornichons and pickled cucumbers, making it a universal choice for both home and industrial cultivation.
