Cucumber L 125 is a medium-early, high-yielding hybrid of Ukrainian selection, intended for cultivation in open ground. The period from germination to the first harvest is 45-49 days, allowing for an early harvest. The plant is predominantly female-flowering, not prone to overcrowding, which promotes good growth and fruiting. The cucumbers are elongated, dark green, large-warty, weighing from 80 to 110 grams, 7-9 cm long, with thin skin and black spines. The fruits do not contain bitterness, are not prone to hollowing, and retain their freshness for a long time without yellowing, making them suitable for both fresh consumption and preservation. Hybrid L 125 is characterized by high resistance to major cucumber diseases, significantly simplifying care and increasing yield stability. The plants are medium-height with a cluster-type fruiting node, forming 3-4 fruits in leaf axils. Within the first 2-3 weeks of fruiting, up to 70-80% of the total yield is harvested, indicating strong early fruiting performance. The fruit flavor is excellent, crisp and aromatic, making them especially valuable for pickling and preservation. Cucumber L 125 can be grown both as seedlings and without seedlings. Seeds are sown at a depth of 1.5-4 cm into fertile, well-aerated soil with neutral pH and high nutrient content. The optimal temperature for seed germination is 12-13°C, with seedlings emerging on day 10 at 17-20°C. For normal growth and fruiting, daytime temperatures of 25-30°C and nighttime temperatures of 15-18°C are required, along with regular watering with warm water, especially during germination, intensive growth, and fruit formation. The plant prefers well-lit areas and light, humus-rich soils. To form the bush, pinching above the third leaf is recommended, and fertilization should be applied every 10 days, combined with watering.
