Cucumber PICKLED GALLERY

Genetic Excellence from Manul

The 'Kartinnaya Galereya' (Picture Gallery) cucumber is a notable achievement in Russian breeding, developed by the Manul team, including Alexander Borisov, Vladislav Skachko, and Oleg Krylov. The hybrid was crafted to meet the needs of producers looking for early maturity and high commercial quality, focusing on a uniform, aesthetically pleasing appearance that justifies its name.

Key Characteristics

This early-maturing hybrid shows exceptional vigor, with harvesting beginning just 40–45 days after germination. Key features include:

• Weight: average of 110 grams per fruit.
• Texture: coarsely tuberculate, providing excellent marketability.
• Dimensions: fruits measure between 7 and 12 cm.
• Color: deep, rich dark green that holds well post-harvest.

A major advantage of this hybrid is its robust disease resistance. It is specifically bred to withstand peronospora (downy mildew) and cladosporiosis, significantly reducing the need for intensive fungicide application and ensuring a more sustainable harvest process.

Application and Market Fit

Versatility is a hallmark of the 'Kartinnaya Galereya'. It performs reliably in both protected environments, such as glass greenhouses, and in open field conditions. Its resilience to environmental stress and consistent fruit production make it a preferred choice for growers who value stable results. By choosing this hybrid, farmers benefit from years of focused professional breeding, ensuring that each harvest meets high industry standards for size, shape, and taste.
