Description Bomond
BOMOND — an early parthenocarpic cucumber hybrid that starts fruiting 38-43 days after germination. Plants are strong with medium to large dark green leaves. Female-type flowering, with 4-5 fruiting nodes per node. Fruits are cylindrical, 12-14 cm long, 3.5-4 cm in diameter, weighing 120-150 g. Their rich green color remains even in hot weather, and the surface is distinctly bumpy with bumps not smoothing out. White spines and high taste quality make the cucumbers attractive to consumers.

The hybrid shows high resistance to major diseases such as cladosporiosis, true powdery mildew, and cucumber mosaic virus, as well as moderate resistance to root rots and false powdery mildew. Thanks to these traits, BOMOND tolerates stressful growing conditions and demonstrates stable productivity. It is recommended to prune side shoots and pinch the tip when it reaches the neighboring plant for optimal growth.

BOMOND is suitable for spring and summer-autumn crop cycles, both in glass and plastic greenhouses and in open ground. Fruits are excellent for long-distance transportation and maintain their market appearance for a long time, with the tip of the fruit not turning yellow during storage. Additionally, cucumbers of this hybrid do not become bitter and are ideal for canning. High yield allows harvesting up to 25 kg per square meter, making BOMOND an excellent choice for commercial cultivation and home gardening.
