Sinclair

Cucumber Sinclair (KS 80 F1) is an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid of the cornichon type, developed by Kitano Seeds. The maturation period is 40-45 days from sowing, allowing it to be grown during spring-summer and summer-autumn periods. The plant is compact and open, with a strong root system, which simplifies care and harvest. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic and stationary greenhouses, including first and second crop rotations. Sinclair cucumber fruits are uniform, 12-14 cm long, dark green with large or moderate bumps. 3 to 5 fruits form in each leaf axil. The internal structure of the fruits is dense, with a small seed cavity, juicy, crisp flesh without bitterness. Even when overgrown, the cucumbers retain marketable appearance and do not become bottle-shaped. Due to high fruit set and resistance to stressful conditions, the plant does not drop fruit, contributing to a stable yield. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to a range of diseases, including powdery mildew and viruses, confirmed by resistance IR to pathogens such as Pc, Ec, Sf, Psl, Co, Ccu, and CMV. Sinclair cucumbers tolerate transportation well and have good storage life, making them versatile for fresh consumption, pickling, canning, marinating, and fermentation. This hybrid combines high yield, excellent taste, and ease of cultivation.
