QUICK START

Cucumber 'Quick Start' is an early parthenocarpic hybrid with high yield and rapid maturity — fruits are ready for harvest as early as 40-43 days after sowing. The plant is medium-height with short lateral branches, which saves space when grown in greenhouses and facilitates care and harvesting both in covered and open ground. Two to three zucchini form at each node, which do not overgrow or deform, ensuring consistent fruit quality.

Zucchini have a cylindrical shape, smooth, 11-14 cm long and 120-140 g in weight. They feature a dark green color with short stripes, uniform speckling, fine and frequent bumps, and dense white pubescence. Thanks to their outstanding taste and pickling qualities, this hybrid is considered one of the best for barrel pickling and marinating.

For cultivation, sowing in seedlings is recommended at the end of April, followed by transplanting into the ground at the 3-4 true leaf stage in late May to early June. Direct sowing into the greenhouse is also possible in mid-May. The optimal planting scheme is 50x50 cm, promoting good plant development and high yield, reaching 11.5-12.5 kg per square meter.
