Marina cucumber is an ultraprecocious self-pollinating hybrid of cornichon type, featuring strong growth and well-developed leaf mass, which protects plants from sunburn and enhances their stress resistance. The vegetation period of this hybrid ranges from 39 to 45 days, allowing for early harvest both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses. Plants are characterized by high yield and resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew, cucumber mosaic virus, and yellowing virus.
Marina cucumber fruits have a cylindrical shape, 8-10 cm long, dark green color with prominent spines and minor bumps. The weight of one fruit varies from 60 to 80 grams. The cucumbers have excellent taste qualities without bitterness, making them ideal for fresh consumption, as well as for canning and pickling. Due to good transportability, this hybrid is suitable for fresh market sales.
The recommended planting density is 2-3 plants per square meter, which promotes optimal growth and high yield.
