Description PARATUNKA
Cucumber Paratunka F1 is a fast-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid that starts fruiting 40-43 days after germination. The plant is medium-height and medium-branched, with female flowering. The stem is long and branched; with proper training and sufficient greenhouse height, it can reach over two meters. The fruits are cylindrical with a short neck, dark green skin with white stripes covering about one-third of the fruit. The fruits are slightly ribbed, moderately ribbed, white-silky, 8-10 cm long, 2-3 cm in diameter, and weighing 75-100 g. They are crisp, aromatic, sweet, and non-bitter, making them suitable for fresh consumption, pickling, and marinating. The Paratunka hybrid has high yield — 12-17 kg per square meter. Each node forms 2-3 fruits, contributing to abundant fruiting. Plantings require frequent and abundant watering due to a weak root system. Recommended planting density is 3.5-4 plants per square meter, with a spacing scheme of 30x70 cm. The hybrid tolerates temperature stress and is resistant to powdery mildew, cladosporiopsis, and bacterial diseases, significantly simplifying care and increasing harvest reliability. Paratunka is suitable for both open-field and greenhouse cultivation, making it a versatile choice for private gardens and industrial production. Seedlings are transplanted at the 3-4 true leaf stage in late May to early June; direct sowing in the ground is possible in May-June. Due to the excellent marketability and transportability of the fruits, this hybrid is popular among gardeners and farmers, ensuring a stable and high-quality harvest.
