PARENK

PARENK — this is an early parthenocarpic cucumber hybrid, intended for cultivation in open ground, under plastic covers, and in glass greenhouses. Plants are characterized by female flowering type and form clusters of fruits, each node of which may form 2–3 to 5–6 fruit set. The period from germination to the beginning of fruiting is about 37–45 days, allowing for a quick harvest. The hybrid is light-loving, and its yield directly depends on light exposure: the more light, the higher the number of fruit set and total yield. PARENK fruits have oval-cylindrical shape, deep green color, and large bumps with white spines. The length of zucchini ranges from 8 to 12.7 cm, and weight — from 60 to 110 g. They are distinguished by excellent taste qualities, absence of bitterness, and are suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for canning and pickling. Due to compact size and cluster formation, cucumbers ripen gradually, with intervals of 1–2 days, ensuring convenient and continuous harvest. The hybrid is resistant to main cucumber diseases, such as cucumber mosaic virus, true powdery mildew, olive spot, and also exhibits high tolerance to false powdery mildew. Medium-height stems and high yield make PARENK a universal and sought-after variety for various cultivation conditions, including trellis culture. This hybrid does not contain GMOs and is distinguished by stable fruiting and fruit quality.
