Description MINI 7
Cucumber MINI 7 is a medium-early parthenocarpic hybrid of the cornichon type, intended for cultivation both under temporary film coverings and in open ground. The plant, with female flowering, forms 1-3 fruits per node, which have a short cylindrical shape, dark green color, and a length of 8-10 cm with a weight of about 160 g. The fruits do not overgrow, possess a dense crisp flesh without bitterness, making them an excellent choice for pickling and canning. The hybrid is characterized by high resistance to major cucumber diseases such as powdery mildew, olive spot, and root rot, as well as to adverse growing conditions. MINI 7 is known for its early maturity: from germination to the start of fruiting, it takes approximately 42-44 days. The plant is medium-height with a cluster arrangement of fruiting nodes, forming 2-4 green fruits per node, 9-10 cm long and weighing 45-50 g. The hybrid yields 16.4-25 kg per square meter when proper agronomic practices are followed, including regular watering, weeding, loosening, and feeding with complex mineral fertilizers. To achieve maximum yield, it is recommended to harvest fruits 2-3 times per week. Sowing for seedlings is carried out at the end of April, and transplanting into the ground — at the end of May or beginning of June, when the plants have 3-4 true leaves. Direct sowing into the ground is also possible in May-June with an optimal soil temperature for seed germination of 25-30°C. The plants are compact, stress-resistant, and tolerant to temperature fluctuations, allowing the hybrid to be grown even in regions with risky agriculture. MINI 7 requires minimal care and is suitable for obtaining early and stable yields of tasty and high-quality cucumbers.
