MALIKA

Cucumber MALIKA is an early parthenocarpic hybrid of large-fruited cucumber with generative type, predominantly female flowering, and weak lateral branch development. The period from emergence to fruiting is approximately 45 days, allowing for a quick harvest. The plant is determinate, with medium-sized green leaves, and the fruits have a cylindrical shape, uniform, and resistant to deformation or fusion. The fruits have a large-beaded surface, green color with short stripes and white spines, weight from 80 to 105 grams, and their taste is rated as excellent. Hybrid MALIKA exhibits high resistance to viral and fungal diseases, reducing the need for chemical protection and promoting ecologically clean produce. Fruits form in clusters of 3-5 per node, practically avoiding hollow specimens, minimizing losses during marketing. Due to these qualities, cucumber MALIKA is suitable for both fresh consumption and processing, including pickling and canning. MALIKA is versatile and can be grown both in open ground and greenhouses. Its compact plant with well-ventilated foliage simplifies care and reduces disease risk. Commercial yield in open ground reaches 4.2 kg per square meter, making this hybrid attractive for commercial cultivation and vegetable markets.
