Description Maresa
Cucumber Maresa — an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid that begins fruiting as early as day 38-40 after emergence of seedlings. The plant is indeterminate, medium-branched, predominantly female-flowering, with cluster fruiting, forming 1 to 3 fruits per node. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation under plastic covers, in greenhouses of all types, as well as in open ground during spring-summer and summer-autumn periods, demonstrating high adaptability to various soils and climatic conditions. Cucumber Maresa fruits are cylindrical, short, 8 to 12 cm long, weighing approximately 65 g. They have a large-bump surface with white hairs and an excellent taste. High fruit uniformity and marketability make this hybrid popular both for fresh consumption and for canning. The plant has short internodes, which promotes dense fruit formation — up to 2 to 4 equally sized fruits can develop per node. The Maresa hybrid is resistant to such diseases as Cladosporium, cucumber mosaic virus (CMV), and powdery mildew (PM). It can maintain fruit set and quality even under adverse natural conditions, making it a reliable choice for farmers of all scales. Yield reaches up to 11.7 kg per square meter, confirming the high productivity and economic efficiency of cultivating this variety.
