Description DEKAN
Cucumber variety Dekan is a mid-early, bee-pollinated variety with a vegetation period of 45 to 55 days. The plant forms compact, medium-branched bushes with vigorous growth and abundant fruit set. Cucumbers have an oval-cylindrical shape with a finely ribbed surface, length of 9 to 13 cm, and weight of 90 to 120 grams. The skin is a rich green color, and the flesh is light green, firm, crisp, with a pleasant sweet taste without bitterness.

The variety exhibits high resistance to diseases, including powdery mildew, cladosporiosis, and cucumber mosaic virus, as well as good tolerance to extreme summer heat. Due to these qualities, Dekan consistently yields and is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses and polytunnels. Sowing seeds is recommended in April for seedlings, and transplanting into the ground should be done in May-June when soil temperature is not below 15 °C.

Dekan cucumbers are versatile in use: they are excellent for fresh consumption, pickling, and preservation. The fruits have good storage life up to 5 days and are suitable for transportation, making the variety convenient for commercial cultivation and marketing. Seed production is carried out by Ukrainian companies, ensuring quality and adaptation of the variety to local climatic conditions.
