CHAIKOVSKY

Chaykovsky F1 is an early parthenocarpic hybrid of the cornichon type, developed by the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan. It is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses, making it a versatile solution for various climatic conditions. The plant is open, compact, with a strong root system and high resistance to stress and diseases, including cucumber mosaic virus, brown spot, and powdery mildew. Thanks to its strong immunity and ability to adapt quickly, the hybrid ensures a stable and high yield throughout the season, without dropping fruits even under unfavorable conditions.

The fruits of the Chaykovsky cucumber have a cylindrical shape with large bumps and dark green, thin skin. The average fruit length is 10-12 cm, and the length-to-diameter ratio is 3.2:1. The flesh is dense, uniform, juicy, and crunchy, and the fruits do not contain bitterness at the genetic level. They are excellent for fresh consumption, as well as for canning and pickling, retaining their flavor and texture even after processing.

The Chaykovsky hybrid is distinguished by its early maturity — about 40-42 days, allowing harvest from spring until late autumn. The fruits have excellent storability, withstand transportation well, and maintain their market appearance after harvest.
