Hobbit

Hobbit Cucumber is a super early parthenocarpic hybrid with a cluster-type fruit formation, characterized by high yield and excellent taste qualities. From germination to the appearance of the first fruits, it takes only 37-38 days, allowing for an early harvest both in protected and open ground. Each node forms 3 to 5 fruiting points, ensuring abundant fruiting. Limited lateral branch growth simplifies plant shaping when grown on trellises.

Fruits have a cylindrical shape up to 10 cm long, with a finely ribbed surface, attractive dark green color, and thin skin. The cucumbers are genetically free of bitterness, have a dense structure, and high sugar content, making them especially tasty. They are ideal for pickling, salting, and marinating, particularly for cornichons 5-9 cm long. Planting density is 3-4 plants per square meter.

The hybrid is resistant to powdery mildew, cladosporiosis, and olive spot, and is tolerant to root rot, enhancing the reliability and stability of the harvest. In plastic greenhouse conditions, yield can reach 14-15 kg per square meter, and in open ground — about 10 kg per square meter. These characteristics make Hobbit cucumber an excellent choice for cultivation both in commercial and hobbyist settings.
