Gunesh F1

Cucumber Gunesh F1 is an early hybrid variety developed by the Dutch seed company Enza Zaden. It is characterized by high yield and excellent taste, making it popular in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and other Eastern European countries. The fruit matures in 35-45 days after emergence, allowing the first harvest to be obtained within 1-1.5 months. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation under protected ground, including various types of greenhouses, in spring-summer and summer-autumn rotations.

The plant is compact, tall, open-type with a strong root system and short lateral branches. The hybrid is parthenocarpic with female flowering, ensuring stable fruiting. The cucumbers have a cylindrical shape, 12-14 cm long, dark green monochromatic skin without spots or stripes, with possible slight lightening at the tip. The flesh and skin are firm, making the fruits heavy — the weight of one cucumber reaches 90-100 g. The surface of the fruits is bumpy with light spines. 2-4 fruits form per node, and fruiting is prolonged: harvest is conducted every 2-3 days, and under high yield — daily.

The Gunesh F1 hybrid has high resistance to diseases, including brown spot, olive spot (cladosporiosis), cucumber mosaic virus, true powdery mildew, and cucumber vein yellowing virus. Thanks to its firm skin, the cucumbers withstand transportation well and retain their market appearance and taste qualities for 1.5-2 weeks under proper storage conditions. The yield of this variety reaches 18-22 kg per square meter in spring planting and 9-12 kg per square meter in summer planting, making it a profitable and convenient choice for both experienced gardeners and beginners.
